    It's not like a Norton waterstone, but you can tell it's been wet and doesn't bead water, maybe Magog Canadian stone?

    That Canadian stone was the one I was also thinking about. It really looks like a hindostan but it's not.

    The yellow/brown/orange Canada Oilstone is similar to a hindostan in most respects except place of origin. They are both novaculites, both extremely dense and both repel water.

    This looks similar... This is not Indiana or Akransas novaculite.

    Im not seeing any layering on the side usually hindostan and Canada oilstone are layered, as far as being a Magog oilstone well
    one would have to see a labeled one to claim that one for sure!!! Enjoy!!
