    Here is my Hindostan (I think that's what it is)
    It looks very similar, mine is very thirsty and cuts very fast with slurry and also is a fine finisher with oil

    if your stone absorbs water or oil its not a hindostan. a hindostan is way to dense of a stone to let water or oil penetrate it

    It's not like a Norton waterstone, but you can tell it's been wet and doesn't bead water, maybe Magog Canadian stone?

    That Canadian stone was the one I was also thinking about. It really looks like a hindostan but it's not.
