I love my cg. It is soft and slurries really easily. I think it is the best stone for knives I've used, but not a finisher for razors. You could use it for razors, but the dt, lm and wt are finer in my opinion.

So i test shave off the WT. It really did improve the edge. Silky smooth. No irritation. Did about about 50 passes on the stone. I will test her out on some other razors. Loving it!!!
My WT has been my go to finisher lately, 20-25 laps light slurry with no pressure and 15-20 laps plain water with no pressure. I'm getting great edges.
I know this thread has been dead for a little while but I had to tell someone that I got the tri hone set ordered. Should be fun.
I just ordered mine, looks like a nice big stone to have for a reasonable price. Will report back.
You know...there are a lot of good stones out there...reciently I bought one of those Chinese (thury Looking) stones with a slurry stone included for 10 dollars on ebay,
and that thing is one fine finisher...really surprised me. It is harder than an escher but not as hard as a shapton, Interesting...
Stingray
Hehehe, just bought one. Also a nice looking green thuri on the site.
They are not Thuringians. They might be something that come from Germany or a country around there, but not Thuringians.
