Thanked: 0Lapping?
Hello folks,
Lapping, the process of flattening a sharpening stone.
Question: How do I go about doing this? I have a Japanese stone. Not sure how fine, I've forgot but it is very fine indeed. I use this to finish my edge and it works really well. The problem is, the last blade I did on this stone had a slight imperfection close to the toe of the blade. Now the stone has dried out, I can see that it is now covered in countless tiny scratches!!! How do I remove these?
Thanks in advance
Pete
