Of course I joke. I hope to score such a beautiful coticule on the cheap some day. I am constantly searching at auctions, antique stores, and flea markets. Some day...

I agree with others that stone is to beautiful to cut. Getting a slurry stone would be a great solution.

Congrats on a GREAT find! If only 1/2 inch on each end isn't flat I would leave it as is. Ya shouldn't hone off the end of the stone anyway so it is like a buffer zone. Aren't local finds just GREAT?!
