Try to look after scratches on your synthetic first if your bevel is set correctly or if you have polished enough on your 8k stone. On JNat you can see scratches if you change your light angle, try to twist your blade wile you look under loop or microscope then you will see the scratch patterns, but for now try to concentrate to do it correct on your synthetics.
