hi all i found a 800 grit diamond hone in a m8s shed,can i use this to beval set ?

Yes you can, just don't use any pressure.

i would think so if you only use it for setting a bevel

I quess that depends.
If the quality of the stone is good, of course you can.
But since you don´t know what you have the stone might very well do some damage to your razor,
that you will have to repair with another stone. I suggest you try the diamond hone with a kitchen knife first
