I received my Chinese 12k the other day and I am expecting to receive my Naniwa 8K next week.

For a sharpening stone I am torn between the Naniwa 3K and 5k. Any suggestion which grit is more appropriate for a beginner like me???

I may have to do some bevel work in the future, for that I know I also need a 1K.
