    Default Dragon's Tongue (Inigo Jones)

I just purchase this stone Slate Honing Stones for sale by Inigo Jones. Can anyone tell me if this is the same DT hone that has been mentioned on here before and is sold by that AJ guy on ebay? How does it compare to a BBW? Should I get a BBW to fill the gap between it and my King 1k?

Yes is the same mentioned here, but I don't know if is the same as AJ sale on ebay, probably yes.

DT are around 5K - 7K in grit range and is like the BBW,I suggest you to use after the BBW in your honing progression if you have only this stones, but you have to move to a finisher stone like a Coticule ( 8K - 10K ) or a Chinese (12K) about natural , or a synthetic that have the same grit range, to complete the job .

eleblu05, does the aj DT look similar enough to the real DT that it might have come from Inigo Jones?

I consider as real DT the hones made by Inigo Jones, sold by them or by suppliers having them from I. Jones. The rest is perhaps simmilar but no DT.

I ordered one last week from Inigo Jones. I have a Naniwa Homestone 1000/3000 and a Chinese 12k, so I hope it fits in the progression.

I use my DT as follows: 1k King, 6k King, DT, PHIG
It improves the edge from the 6k, but is improved by the (iro)12k
As they are a natural product, yours may be different!

    Hope that helps
