Default Look what I found today

I found this today at a flea market in a box of synthetic hones. Surprised the label is in such good shape buy how it was stored.

    175x40 dark blue Escher.
I need to seal the labels before I lap it and clean it up.

Yep...I've honestly given up. lol. I've spent well over the Ebay Escher rate on "stone hunting expeditions". If I want an Escher, I'll have to pay the big bucks it seems.

Very nice find...enjoy! I recently had 'a bit of good luck' at a garage sale so I know you are excited about finding this. I think I've acquired the 'GSD' (Garage Sale Disease) now... your post just confirmed it!

Oh that's just the beginning of what I have found. Here's a few more, the one on the right is the only one with a label in that pic. I won't say what I paid for them but it was well under the price of the cheapest thuringian. I have found quite a few coticules too but I have been to every antique store within 1 1/2 hours of my house.

God bless those flea markets. Persistence does pay off. My Dark Blue is, in general, my go-to finisher. It's very rare that it can't improve an edge.

Well said! Congratulations on your finds...I would protect those labels with some poly or clear nail polish.
