Default Does anyone do honing work in SoCal?

First off, I apologize if this is the wrong area to post in, but here goes. Are there any SoCal members that hone razors or do you know of any? I want to get my two razors shave ready, but don't want to wait to ship them off. Any and all advice is welcome

Sorry, I am in SoCal and hone my own (not confident enough to ruin someone elses reazor yet).

I can recommend ClassicShaving.com. They are in Palm Springs and if you are in the Inland Empire you can take it directly to them.

i'll call em up and see how long they take to do it. i went to south coast plaza and the guy who does honing there said it'd be about 10 days. I'm impatient when it comes to my razors. not shaving though

'Bot, I take it you have only one razor? If so, its the perfect excuse for another one. 'Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, but something to keep you going when the other is out for a refresh.

There's prob. lots of guy down there. If you have trouble connecting, PM me. 'Could prob spare a blade for loan while you get the other honed. 'Would be happy to do the edge also. If its a Sheffield wedge, I'll deny most of what I just said.

You have help if you need it.
    Lynn and Wullie like this.

Fortunately, i did pick up a dovo recently. Wasn't too sure if it was "shave ready" as most see it, so I do have a second blade, but I can't thank you enough for the offer! you are all really stand-up people here, and I feel as welcome as family. Thank you.

At some point, I want to get both of em either honed, if necessary or just finished to get that uber-shave ready edge on them. If I'm able to find someone to do it during this next weekend, then cool. if not, i might just send them in. not sure yet.
