Default An affair w/ a coticule

After honing with a number of [ancient] no-name hones and using an American Hone Co.( Barber's Hone), I finally purchased a coticule combo stone. At first, I was a little reluctant, after hearing stories about the difficulty in using them. However, being my experience honing knives as a commercial fisherman and as an amateur butcher, I was worried for no reason. It's a dream! In fact, after buying it last week and it being delivered about five days ago, I bought another one for my son (who's nine years old as of this writing), in the event that some day they may be forever unavailable, which, according to the seers, is an inevitability. In any event, the coticule is worth every cent.

Caveat: I have no pecuniary interest in coticules or any other honing stones.
