Thanked: 2209Hey guys, today I went to Geezers home and saw that Escher firsthand. Wow! Is it ever big! The color is a true blue green and the condition of the hone is very good or better. A really nice hone.
The smaller stone also impressed me. It is a very hard but very fine stone, Definitely a finishing grade stone.

What color?
A black finisher in standard size, or, is it blue black or green?? This on a white background with a daylight bulb!

Thanked: 2591I have seen light green ones that were pretty different in color, one almost yellow green the other one close to bluegreen.
Who knows how accurate were the people that graded them back in the day...

I had a blue-green, and it was a very good stone, and I got really nice edges with it.

I have a labeled blue/green that has a definite yellow hue to it when wet. Another thing to consider, I don't think photos seen on our monitors truly reflect the color of the stones when seen firsthand. Whatever, IME an escher/thuringan by any other name is still a good hone. How it works is what is important to me but colors/labels are cool. Killer stones you've got there geez.
