After applying the pyramid method of using the 4000/8000 hones, how do you use the 12000 or 16000 grit hones?

If you have developed a good edge all you need is a minimal amount of time on the finisher. First, try five to seven light stokes on the finisher to see how much improvement it makes. You should be finishing on an 8k edge that would give a good shave and the finisher should make it smoother. It takes some experimentation to get it right but it will be worth it
