Thanked: 0New again....honemeister needed in Fairfax VA area
So I bought a straight razor about 6 or 7 years ago. Started learning and finally was able to get a decent shave, then I moved and lost the razor. I finally found it open in a box. Suffice to say its no longer sharp. Any assistance would be amazing so I could relearn.

I was in a very similar situation last year. I got some mentoring from afdavis around that time and he was a big help to me.
I'd also be happy to help out if I can. You can pm me if you want. I've been shaving and honing for 9 or 10 months and am doing okay @ both.

I'm also more than happy to help out. I live in the Old Town Alexandria area and work in Tysons Corner. I don't call myself a honemeister, but I've been honing now for about 18 months or so and would be happy to work on your blades and/or help to teach you how to hone. PM me if you're interested.
