    The Witte shown is a Apart hone. It is not nearly as fine as the Norton aka Axe man hone. The Norton takes only
    two strokes after an Escher to bring a finer edge.

    Thanks for the help guys. I was getting a decent edge from my 8k ceramic (not ideal I know, but there has always been something else needing buying when I have hone money) but it was still pretty tuggy, I'll give this one a try now and see what kind of edge I can get myself. thanks again!
