Thanked: 480Color me Lucky!
So I bought a box of hones, pretty much on a whim and a with a gamblers heart.
And I think I took home the winning hand. I am quite certain of its type. Everybodies favorite German, quartz in chalk combo!
Nice sized at 8.25 x 1 7/8 x a full 3/4 thick!
Odd that it seems somebody used THIS as a slurry stone for some other stone. (see angled end)
2 tone effect is me partially lapping, so that you can get a look at the old color, and the freshly exposed stone color.
First pic is outside natural light, second is outside with flash and natural light, 3rd is indoor light with flash.
Sadly, the remnants of the label are exactly that. practically none at all.
So, since I only have darker stones to compare it to, where would you guys put this in the color range?

I don't know what they are, sorry to say, but they look nice to me and they will compliment your collection.
Thanks for sharing them.

Thanked: 247I'd say it's blue. It's not unusual to find a thuringian stone with an odd facet like that. I've had one also, although mine had the odd facet lengthwise, instead of on the end. I'd bet when it still had it's brand new shiny label, that corner looked that same as it does right now. I wish I'd find a box of hones somewhere. In the meantime, my most sincere congratulations!
