Just wanted to update this thread. I've had the chance to refinish several razors, from hard American steel to soft Sheffield steel. The stone has left very consistant edges on all of the razors I've honed on it so far. Gives the keenness that you would expect from novaculite, but also gives a much smoother feeling edge than what I get from my translucent and surgical black Arkies. Definitely having fun testing edges from this stone.
