Thanked: 3164Well I'll be - I didn't know that! Mind you, years ago when I used to deal in militaria a lot of the german men I bought stock from adopted female pseudonyms, which I thought was a bit strange. Not as strange as my german friend Peter, though - I regularly bought from him for years and corresponded with him regularly about WW1. One day he broke down and told me that he was a she. It's a strange world.
Regards,
Neil

Thanked: 3164Now I'm totally confused too, Jimmy. A search for the owner of Olivia's site says that the registrar (owner) is Antje Meier, the same person who is listed as the registrar of the ShaveReady site. I was told that Antje was Olivia's brother, but now I find that the name Antje is a hebrew name for a girl - the equivalent is Hannah or Anna. The weirdness deepens...

Neil, Olivia has been gone from SRP for a pretty good while but I seem to remember an avater ..... or some photo identified as "her" ..... a photo of what appeared to me to be a female. Definitely a 3 pipe problem .

Thanked: 3164I remember that avatar too - but a lot of folk on the B&B forum are men and have pics of girlies as their avatar...
If you check out Olivia's profile on SRP it says 'beard growth challenged' and lists her other monicker as Mrs. Meier, while posts refer to 'reading grannies recipes' - maybe I'm just an old chauvanist, though...
I'll see your three pipes and raise you four cigars.

Neil,
I see Piet has already explained what GBB and BBB stands for. As for the vendor that should not be named, they refered to Olivias shop. There must have been some problems in the past with members of this forum and Olivia, but I don't know the history.

Thanked: 3164Piet - to paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld, is that "a known known, a thing we know we know"?

I haven't seen her in person but I've heard her talk during a live honing demonstration video. She was also featured in a German razor making video where she tested the sharpness of the razor with a bundle of long hairs iirc. It was an item from Galileo Magazine about Mastro Livi.

Thanked: 3164That's good enough for me, Piet, thanks! So Olivia = Antje = a german lady.
Certainly sounds like ML's workshop with that bundle of hair.
