Well congrats. Norton 4/8 k are great. Will you be shaving off the 8k or going to a finer finisher?

You will like the naniwa. What bevel setter are you using?

Sounds like a great time. As earcutter wonders, how was the shave??

You can maybe save yourself some money as you collect more hones; the 5k and 8k in theat full set of Naniwas will duplicate your Norton. The 12k would be a good addition, though, after you're sure you're getting all you can from your 8k.

    Best wishes

Should clearify, I was honing and setting bevels :P, we set the bevel on a 1K and had "Shave-Ready" results off the 8k but not quiet up to my standard where i'd like it, i had a very comfortable shave with my Eye Witness restored and honed, but tugged a touch still but that could be a result of improper stropping as i was in a hurry. Work to do still but went smoothly.
