1. Orange one in 19x6x3cm, very hard and very dense stone
with slurry: medium - fast / with plain water: medium / finish: very fine finish
Its a vintage one from an old lot of Coticule, iam not sure on ist origin, my guess is Old Rock Quarry.
It looks like a Veille Rouge i own from Regné but its doesnt shares its honing properties...

Lets bring this back up so that people can identify their own stones. (Or lets all enjoy these pretty pics)
I think only two of mine have vein names. I've never bothered to try to find out the vein source of any of the others. I just don't care.
I suppose I could name all of them George...
Mine’s called “Select”.
I dont think it matters what you call them. Much like a cat, they wont come when you call anyway.
Guess I can throw a picture of my coticule here. The coticule below is my favorite and go to coticule when I am not getting jnat finish. It is extremely hard/fast as well as a good finisher. I could come off 1k with slurry but usually I can just go 1k/5k then coticule. I dont usually count laps but I am never honing on this coticule long, finishing with it under running water. I do have another coticule that finishes a tad bit smoother but it is way slower.
Also I believe it is a la dressante but don't really know
