Hi guys- I bought this stone last week. It's 3"+ by 7" It's a waterstone puttied into an old pine base. It leaves a hazy mirror finish with scratches in it. Is it possible to identify a stone like this, or should I just leave well enough alone? I am assuming that its Japanese and it slurries relatively easily. The black is in the stone and doesnt seem to affect anything.
