    Looks a bit like an LI of the 'grecian' variety to me at first glance.

    Love that lapping machine of yours, BTW - have been thinking of making one for some time...

    How hard is it? Slurry? The back side of my yellow/green thuringian is marked like that.

    All things being relative, I've spent ten minutes just getting ready to lap a hone.

    That awesome machine of yours spoilt you fast it seems!

    I got no ideas on the stone. Although I sometimes wish I did.
