Coticule/BBW slurry question
I have been looking into getting a Coticule/BBW for down the line when I want to try out naturals and my skill with the Norton is up to snuff. My question is: For making slurry on the BBW side do I need a cotigura with a BBW side? If so is there a ready supply of slurry stones with a BBW side? I am actually hoping so as I would like to try it out. I have read that some just use the yellow coticule to make slurry on a BBW side. Any input would be great.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Not sure about functionality, I'm sure it would work out ok, but aesthetically I like to use bbw on bbw.
TSS sells combo slurry stones, the one I picked up ended up being just large enough to use as a finisher too. Belgian Coticule Hones

I don't mix the colors, imo it makes a difference if you do. BBW slurry can add a lot of sharpening to the edge where as coticule white slurry can dull an edge depending on the coticule, the vein, and the speed of the coticule. Coticule slurry is a lot more aggressive of a cutter than the bbw slurry.
For example if your coticule slurry stone makes coticule slurry that acts like a 2K level slurry and your bbw slurry is around the 4K level then why would you want to mix them? I am seeing a lot in forums now that people are being told that BBW and Coticules are even more magical where you can mix the two and the grit of the two natural stones won't interfere with each other...To me that just doesn't make any sense.
you can always use a diamond plate as a slurry stone.
