Keep the one that calls you the most. B.T.W. a 3 line swaty actually says "THREE LINE" on it. Most people think it's just cause it carrys 3 lines of text.

Without wanting to open the can of worms that is Swaty history (!) I thought the ones that said 'Three Line' were so named to capitalize on the popularity of the ones with three lines of text. ??
My problem is that I really like both of them, but want to help out a friend, hence my quandry.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Unless I'm badly mistaken the only difference is the number of lines of text. So keep whichever one looks/works best for you ...... or give the gift of the best of the two,

Well imho it all depends on how you feel towards your friend..in that I mean if I got someone into shaving with straights and I really liked and admired them..or if I was truly looking to mentor them, I would give that person the better of the two..you're experience and skill well make up for the lesser stone and make that persona life a little easier in maintenance..
My two cents.
I did not vote because I know nothing about either stone.
I hope in your mind you choose well and not by popular opinion..(not trying to sound cruel our demean any ones vote)

Thanked: 495I like your idea of sharing, and for that you rock. Thats what this passion is all about. Many people hoard this stuff away never in 10 lifetimes could ever use it all. Whats the fun in that? Those barber hones will each out live us all and then some.
The joy in this obsession is to pass on the knowledge as well as a hone or maybe a razor now and again.
