    Default Stone I.D.

Just got this stone in today. It was listed as a B/G thuri but I'm pretty sure that this is not a thuri. My guess, and it's only a guess, is it's a CF

    It measures a bit over 8" by 1 3/4 x 7/8 thick

Does it have have small translucent-ish lines in the stone, like broken flakes? how hard is it?
Doesn't the slurry looks like it's too white for a Charnley? They usually are too hard to slurry.

I don't see any translucent parts but yes; the stone is pretty darn hard. The slurry was made buy a dmt, a regular stone could not produce slurry with this stone.

If that is the one I was watching on ebay from last week, I have no idea where the seller got the thuri ID. Looked like a CF then (and I bid on it as such) and does now too!

It probably is. I'm no hone expert so I really had no clue as to what a CF hone would or should look like. Even so, I'm still satisfied with the purchase.

Yes Sir, I tried it last night and the resulting edge made for a great shave.

To me it looks like one of the "newer" cut CF in times between WW1 andWW2
