    Default Yet another stone ID.

    My friend gave me this stone, looks to be a 1000 grit. At lest this is what im assuming by the #1000 written on the side along with some japanese writing. Have a look and see if you can give me any info.

    That is a king deluxe stone.
    grit is must likely 1k.
    but if it was made for the japanese market it
    might littery be around 2k.
    well it should work good if it has no oil in it.
    they need a 30 minute soak time before using.
    it's a bad idea to just store them in water all the time.
    I like to put a dish drainner thing in the bus tub i soak them
    in so the metals can fall to the bottom.
    If ya sharpening knives that grit will make a undamage knife sharp again.

    That one retails more then the one sears sells online due
    to it being a larger size stone.
