2 King 1000's...One cheaper that the other...same thing??
Can anyone tell me what (if any) the difference is between these two? One is significantly cheaper than the other, and I would definitely jump on the cheaper one if it's a legit King 1000....any input is greatly appreciated!!King Medium Grain Sharpening Stone - #1000 - S: Amazon.com: Kitchen & Dining

Thanked: 2591The one without a base is about 2 times thicker, it looks like from the pics.
Too bad they do not offer dimensions for both.
EDIT:
found more info
the one with the base
176mmX 52mm X15mm
the one with no base
8.2" x 2.6" x 1.3"H (208mm x 66mm x 33mm)Last edited by mainaman; 10-29-2012 at 05:31 PM.

I know! But for $19 shipped I think I'll give it a try... Hopefully it's the same length/width-wise as the thicker one!
On second thought I think I'll just spend the extra few $$ and get the bigger one....thx for looking up the dimensions!!Last edited by jpcwon; 10-29-2012 at 05:34 PM.

Yes, I have the one with the base. It measures 18x5cm (7x2") or so. It is smaller and thinner. If I were you I would buy the bigger one.

I just placed an order for the bigger of the two. I think for a few extra$ it'll be worth it....thanks for the input!
