I just aquired this hone from a seller in the UK. They said the hone was their grandfather's and was referred to as a Charnley Forest hone. It has olive color with not too much red color but some dark rusty red streaks and even a few red dots on one side. I'm not sure, so I'd love to hear opinions from others more familiar with the above mentioned hones. The following photos are first dry, then wet. The hone measures 2x9x1 3/8" and came in a nice mahogany case. I haven't lapped it yet, just cleaned with oven cleaner.
Thanks, and apologies for the many photos.
