Default Hone ID - Charnley or Llyn Idwal? Opinions please

I just aquired this hone from a seller in the UK. They said the hone was their grandfather's and was referred to as a Charnley Forest hone. It has olive color with not too much red color but some dark rusty red streaks and even a few red dots on one side. I'm not sure, so I'd love to hear opinions from others more familiar with the above mentioned hones. The following photos are first dry, then wet. The hone measures 2x9x1 3/8" and came in a nice mahogany case. I haven't lapped it yet, just cleaned with oven cleaner.
Thanks, and apologies for the many photos.

Doesn't look like a CF to me, Matt - more like an LI of the 'grecian oilstone' variety. I would think the light orange/brown discolouration is from metsl swarf or something similar.

    Regards,
    Neil

Thanks for the replies gents, I had suspected as much as far as the ID. I paid a fair price so am still pleased. Since posting I have lapped the stone through 1500 grit wet and dry paper (was fairly flat and only took a few minutes total). I did about 75 laps with sewing machine oil on a razor that was Thuri finished I had just test shaved with. I've only tested on arm hair so far but it looks like the keenness of the edge has definitely improved. Will test shave with the razor tonight (H.M. Christensen).
I think it will be a great finisher.

I got this one. Pretty large piece, looks like a LI "Grecian" type of the pictures I have seen on this forum.
Slurry is milk white, stone is greenish.

This one came with a worn label that is impossible to read out.
Last pictures are traces of BIG and small latters, but impossible to read out.

Have somebody seen a stone with an intact label that can be matched to this one?
I have not tested it yet.

    Just found this thread here:

Probably this label in colour and appearance might fit or the label might have been changed during times in the past....
