Thread: Restoring old barber hones?

I just found the old barber hone I used to use to finish my pocket knives and beltknives, It's fairly well worn, and a little bellied out, I can't make out the name either, so what shall I do with it?

Lap it and use it!

Barber hones can be hard to restore.

They were made to use until not usable anymore and then you pitch them. They were very inexpensive items.
