    Default OK fellahs...Naaaamme thaaat hooooone!!!!

So here she is. A very hard olive green stone. Not similar to novaculite. Not similar to slates I've had. The deep scratches visible in some of the photos were 36 grit sil carb derived. The stone was reasonably flat, but it finds DMT's mildly amusing. This little black stone came with it. I know that doesn't mean they're a matched pair, but I do think they go together. It's a water stone. At this early stage in owning it, it seems to be a finisher. It doesn't smell like anything. I mean nothing. I even went so far as to risk silicosis with a light whiff of straight dust..nothing. Anybody got a guess? And sorry to Martin, who will be dissatisfied with my photos. lol. They're macro...but my camera is something like 15 years old. That might be the issue. lol

A better view of the side of the hone would help me guess! Hindustan from the side if I am really seeing layers and they are not just a reflection of my ignorance!
