Thank you all for the replies!
Like I said I have been stricken with a severe case of HAD, so I think I may acquire the other two stones as sort of an alternative to my current setup, which consists of a Nani 1k, Norton 4/8, and Nani 12k. I am also learning to use my Coticule, but I figured it would be nice to have a variety of different finishers.

Thanked: 116I like all three of the stones. I find the DT is good enough after i set the bevel as long as i have a thick slurry. I find the edge off the purple stone to be 'keener' but the 'welsh thuri' provides a more pleasant 'buttery' shave. Just my opinion.
I'll have to see how my new JNAT i ordered from Maksim performs after I use these stones. He's warned me that a lot of 'pre polishing' must be done before i get on the jnat (Ozuku Mizo Asagi with an Asano Nagura set as well as a tomonagura).

I must confess that I'm clueless when it comes to JNAT's!! I have yet to delve into the JNAT world, but it's only a matter of time...
I just placed an order for the DT & LM stones. I'm excited to have some variety as far as what kind of edge I put on my razors. Right now I'm practicing finishing with my Coticule, but I also have a Naniwa 12k, a PHIG, a WHIG, and my little Thuri...I know I don't need all these, but they're fun to play with!

Thanked: 116I've never held a JNAT in my hand, I guess i'll see how it goes when it gets here. I really like the shaves off the welsh stones. I liked them better than the naniwa 12k ss.
