Thanked: 0BBW and Naniwa set
Hi to all, first of all I hope to be in the right place for this question and I am sorry if it would be a tedious question. Last but not least, I apologize for my poor and macheronic English, I am Italian.
I am not exactly a new wet shaver with straight razors, but I am near to...... but I am surely new to honing.
Till now I have used only a coticule with, I think good results. I mean that my razors shave in what I assume to be a decent way. They was all new, not shave ready, and was a little easier I suppose to make them shave ready with coticule and strop.
Now the real question. I would like to try some restorations on razors with only rust problems, I mean not with "geometric" problems on blades. So, after reading many many posts and tutorials in the library the results of my thinkings are that I think to have a choice between three sets:
1) Naniwa 1000 to create the bevel, a BBW with slurry and without as a middle step to the coticule
2) Naniwa combo 800/5000
3) Naniwa combo 1000/3000
Are my ideas correct, or have I to come back and pay more attention to the posts and tutorials?
Thank you very much to you all
