Nova Scotia Coticule Article
I've seen references to this article elsewhere, and have read a few posts that mention some of the information in it. So I just thought I would post it here for reference purposes so we have it on hand.

Thanks for posting, James! I have seen references to it as well, but the view was that these beds and lenses are so small/thin/convoluted that they would not furnish hones - might be wrong though.

I found the one picture showing the garnets interesting. Shows graphically why natural stones vary in performance. Unlike synthetics the abrasive is not necessarily uniformly distributed.

You are probably right Neil, but I also do not know. We should send someone up there with a pickaxe and see what they come back with.
The colours the authors describe sound quite beautiful.
