An interesting mystery. Ancient stones that work for razors but of unknown origin.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Got my ne Hone Yesterday, well, i thought it was NOS but it showed lil signs of use, no problem but i thought it was one of the greyish LaLune with Pyrite inserts (at the End i think this is only a TM and no Guarantee to get a Lorraine, a Vosgiene or whatever) but i was wrong, its an dark purple Lorraine
Perfect for me as is was searching for one as addition to my smaller Lorraine (in the last pic as comparison for the different colours), at the Moment i know nothing about the performance of the hone (although it seems a bit softer when i flattened it) but will write a short review after i used it a few times.
The Label of Manufrance isnt made of paper and glued like rubber on the stone.

After a discussion in the german gut-rasiert.de Forum i had no Peace so i had to test it about one hour ago (in Germany its now 2 a.m.) and the Performance of the Stone was nearly as i expected, nearly no Autoslurry, good polish with cloudy background and a very keen edge, the HHT was on two of three Razors (Garantie Solingen & Wacker Facharbeit Special, both Solingen Silversteel) without Problems, on the third Razor (a Trud Watscha Inox) the HHT failed, but this is nothing new too me as it usually fails with my other stones too, although the Soviet gets a very nice edge.
In comparison to the red one i have the darker Stone is a bit softer, faster but with a less mirror-like finish.
Conditionally i would say that its around 10k, i emphasize Conditionally as a fast honing session with only three Razors hardly allow a reliable description.
