Can't say that I know but I have a hone called a "moon stone" that I purchased in the 1960s and have used for finising pocket knives for decades. It seems to be a very fine grit and works well. Have never tried it on a razor tho. Perhaps I have something very special and never suspected

Is this a good hone? I lapped it and about a hour later it it flat! I have yet to use it
