what is the Nagura stone that comes with the Chosera for?
I imagine its for slurries. If so can you use it on other stones?

Thanked: 2591clean the surface of the stone mainly. Some may use for slurry but it is not meant for that.
I personally do not use them, I just lap with the DMT and that is it.Stefan

On my 1K chosera I sometimes use it as a slurry stone for grinding blades that need a lot of work. Those nagura's are pretty course, around 600 grit so after using it for slurry on the 1K you basically have to start over on the 1K with water only or the edge will NOT get sharp.
On higher grit stones those nagura's should never be used for slurry but they clean a stone that has a lot of swarf in just a few swipes.
Especially those Naniwa super stones swarf up really fast and those naguras quickly clean them but make sure to rinse of all the particles before honing on it.

Thanked: 202Well there is nothing else left to say. Just remember to dry it properly for storage. For some reason it takes longer than Chocera to dry.
