Post New / Used Coticule Honnning Stone

I just purchased a used Coticule stone, but it did not come with a slurry stone. Is there a specific stone I need to make a slurry on a Coticule stone or any other for that matter?

Thank you for any input you can give me!

You could do with atiny piece of coticule to rub yours with when you want to create a milky like slurry. superior shave sells them there not much to buy.

So you need a Coticule with a Coticule and a Thuringian with a Thuringian, etc. etc because they are natural stones? What about say a Noton 4000/8000?

I would stay with the same type of stone. I'm not sure how the slurry froma synthetic could impact your naturals.

Credit card sized DMT diamond plate will suffice and probably run around seven bucks, you can also pick up individual slurry (coticule) stones for maybe $20 ? Might be some in our classifieds.

+1 on the DMT cards...I picked up a 3-set and they are very useful for raising a slurry....Or, you could google "coticule slurry stone" and buy one from any number of vendors..
