Thread: norton kb8 hone found!

I am relatively new to this site but thought you folks might get a kick out of this. I am no honemeister by any stretch and have not honed a straight ever. I am fairly good at pocketknives and such. Learned from an old timer so to speak at work. I have a medium and hard arkansas stone that i have used my whole life with good results. After reading some of your articles of stones and such I realized that years ago I was given a stone and wondered what it was. It was soft compared to what i used and I had a hard time with it. Found it the other day and to my surprise it is a norton kb8 which I presume is and 8k Norton? Looks like straight razors and I were destined for each other!

That is why I have boxes and crates full of stuff. Someday I know I'll need it ! Like my 3' rigid aluminum pipe wrench. :<0)
