    Default Pyramid Honing

    Hi all,

so I am trying the pyramid technique for the first time and I don't know if I should start at the low number and work my way up. Or high number and work my way down. Also, can/should I repeat the process or will that lead to over honing?

Have you read about it in the SRP library (wiki) here ? Start at the high number and work your way down. If it isn't "there" when you get through start at maybe 15 and work back down. Yes it can lead to overhoning but if you are doing it right that shouldn't happen.

    Hi Jimmy,

Yes I read the Wiki that's the guide I'm using. Underneath the guide there are some pics with a guy showing it. Under the last pic it seems that he is starting at the low number and working up by what he is saying under the photo. This is what is confusing me.

Also read 'Alternative Approaches' in that Wiki section. You might start with that and use the other guide if it needs more.
