Heh, from a tadpole tree? :roflmao I really hope you're not talking about "frog seed," like in the frog squirted it at you sense... Ewww! :dropjaw: :rofl2:
These dang things. I can't remember the name of the plant offhand.

Yeah it's definitely a baby frog in the stone, not a seed. Those are very similarly shaped though! The fossilized spinal column is pretty clearly visible. Poor little froggy.
What strata are you looking at?
Do you mean my stone? No idea, it most likely came from glacial till. I found a fair quantity of the stones near a local glacial lake (formed by glacier ages ago) partially buried and dug them up - best guess on the stone is a variety of quartzite.
Got one of those "Echter Thüringer Wasserabziehstein" this time no Escher & Co. Label...however another clouded beauty...i love this lines walking thru these stones...i put two of them together....

they look like capacitors. Do they shock you? Put both leads of one on your tongue and see!!
(just kidding, sometimes they're stuck to my pants when I make the half mile walk through the woods from the public transit bus stop here - except I never see which plant they come off of)
I think you might be able to sell them to someone as "dried mini snails".
