Thread: Question for you honing pros

My edges got smoother with more experience, and not with magical stones. My edges off of my 12k Naniwa were much harsher two years before than now. Those wich I get nowadays from the 16k Shapton and 10k Naniwa are both sharp and smooth, a very nice comfortable shave.

I used to have eschers, jnats, cotis and such, but you don't really need a 200$+ stone to have good shaving edges. They are different, yes, but don't expect that the edges off those stones will be much better than your synth edges.
