    Default 12K Naniwa Lapping

I recently lapped a 12K grit Naniwa wetstone with a DMT 325 plate. The Naniwa was left with a peppered looking finish, but feels smooth to the touch. Almost looks like dirt. Is this OK to use as is or does it need to be re-lapped or somehow cleaned?
    Thank you in advance.

My Naniwa 12K has the same peppery appearing finish, and it works fine.

my 12k naniwa after lapped have the same bit pepper appering finish....at first i was worried...but after i have seen that's smooth and work very well...so i think was a problem of past.
I during the honing i use nagura to polish the surface...in this way the stone is very clean.
