    Default Nainwa 12 k

    Just purchased my 12 k, do u guys soak these stones before you use them like the nortons.. How do u use these do u just spray with a lil water and goto work or can I just soak it along side my other hones.. Do I soak before lapping?

    Just spray a little water a few times till it starts to puddle up on the surface and then you're good to go.

    I always lap and clean these stones wet and under running water.

    Some say to soak before use just for like 5ish minutes to let the stone "stabilize", but I usually just spritz & go....I think either method will work, you just don't want to over-soak them as they tend to swell IIRC....

    No soaky the nanis. Do like Lynn sez! Otherwise, they will get into some wierd shapes!

    Spray of water, wait a few minutes, hone away. I only soak the stone a bit if I have to lap it, it warps a bit while soaking.
