    Default Coticule HAD !!

well ive had the bigger one a few weeks now and enjoy it so much i HAD to add a couple more ..

the one i had is a "La Grise" 7x2 natural combo

    then this " La Petite Blanche " 5x 2 ( jus under 2) combo

then this bout showed up about 3 1/2x 3 in center of both edges , ?? & slate backed ( very fast cutter , with a pinkish hue to it when dry )

Cool, that fast cutter looks like it has a pink hue to it ? I've noticed that coticules with pink bits are usually fast cutters. IIRC I saw that spotted one on the bay last week. Cool looking stone.

funny u say that !! i just added that to the post and hit save .. then when i looked you had mentioned it ...lol.. i was suprised how fast it cut , slurry will darken FAST !! i hoped for that when i grabbed it after reading a bit so i could use it as more or less a bevel setter .. i honed a razor from start to finish on it and through out it seemed to leave a sharper/keen edge compared to the La Grise with its more dull feeling edge .. im gonna shave with it tonight and see ..

This is what feeds the RAD and the HAD ..... trying out new stones and razors and experiencing the differences. Lots of fun.

Yeah, I've got a vintage glued combo with a pink hue that's a good bit faster than my other coticles, it's a pleasure to hone on.

It's the one lying flat on the table:
