    Default Bigger more stationary hone

    I've been using an old american hone co. barber hone in the palm of my hand to touch up razors. I'm new and I'd really like 1 stone that's versatile, is a little bigger and that has a base for keeping it stationary on the table top. Norton 4/8k? Thanks.

    Norton 4k/8k is a great hone, but I think most or maybe just many barber hones are finer than the 8k side. So not a replacement, necessarily, but a good addition, IMO.
