Slurry with a coti means the thuri slurries or the coticule slurries on the thuri? If the thuri doesn't slurry with a diamond plate it will not slurry with a coti I suppose. So it might be the coti that slurries.
Does the thuri get the typical little white scratches on the surface when you hone on it ot touch the surface with a hard subject?

Didn't notice but the slurry was yellow so I have to assume that the coti is the one giving up it's particles... I didn't hone with it naturally but one of the posters said, "I don't suppose it matters so long as you are getting the result from it that you are happy with" which is true...
I tape everything!!
