I can't seem to find any information other then a few sparse reviews on Amazon regarding this stone.

Would you touch your SR's to this as a bevel setter?

I did come across that thread however it has a couple of points that make me think it is about a different company.
Lynn says "I believe that is the 1K I just tested. Fairly expensive for a 1K. "
The one I linked to above is about as inexpensive as they come. The rest of the thread is more along the lines of finishing stones.
Thank you.

Thanked: 1263I'm assuming they're made by the same company...maybe more of a "budget" line of sorts. I'm sure someone else will come along with more experience on them and help out

Suehiro ships a small version of this stone in their Debado and Gokumyo series of hones.
In that size it is meant as a dressing stone(cleaning stone) for the harder and finer hone it ships with.
I have only seen the smaller one in person, and it is a very porous and chippy material.
It will drink water like crazy, yet crumble while soaked for any longer period of time.
In short then, no, I would not put any of my razors on these.Last edited by Birnando; 05-14-2013 at 03:27 PM. Reason: Added info
