    Default Naniwa sticker

I know this has been talked about in the past, but I wanted to talk about the sticker on naniwa stones. I got mine a couple of days ago and since I am lapping with a granite slap and sandpaper, I didn't want to lap off the stickers. I used a razor that I am restoring to gently get under the corner of the sticker and then grabbed it with my fingers. it worked great. just thought I'd share

I have the thicker naniwa 12k that isn't glued on a stand. I just use the stickerless side after a good lapping.

It is the residue left from the sticker removel that causes issues, you have to do some extra lapping to get that clear, you will see the difference when you wet the stone..
I have not heard much of this in quite some time I was actually hoping that Naniwa changed the stickers and the residue was no longer an issue, let us know

The residue was not tacky. It was visibly obvious where the sticker had been. The whole stone lapped evenly all over ( used sandpaper) and now there is no evidence of the sticker.

This was my experience as well. No residue at all, just a visible "location" on the stone. Came off really easily when I lapped my 12K with my DMT 325 though.
